Today Tip #23: Eat Slowly!
Did you know that when we eat fast, our stomach becomes distended and can swell to 3x it’s original size? Yikes! It then pushes against your lungs and diaphragm. I just read this today and it makes sense. It’s easy to do when we’re out with friends eating junk food at a party or such. Chew your food well before you swallow. The digestive juices in your mouth will start the digestive process and aid in proper digestion. You’ll also avoid any acid reflux or excessive gas. Make smart choices and avoid junk food at all cost!
