Day 10

Many of you are embarking on a fitness program for the first time in quite a while.  I know how everyone is “Gung Ho”, and that’s a good thing!

Tip #10: 
Stretching before any kind of exercise is important. It’s also a good thing to get into the practice of stretching after you finish your exercising as well.

Whether it is running, aerobics, a pacing class or weightlifting it makes a huge difference, especially how your muscles react afterwards So, no matter how much of a hurry you are in to get through your workout, remember, always stretch for a good 15 min to warm up and cool down. Another tip: stretch when you get out of the shower when your muscles are most warm and elastic.  Even if you are not exercising today, make it a point to stretch before bed!
